Child Obesity is a pandemonium that is very usual among children in the latest scenario. A child suffering from obesity looks huge and heavy as compared to other children of his age and height. An obese child’s weight is higher in proportion to his height and age. It is a most common condition generally found in US and UK. Basically, an obese child is overweight and faces great difficulty to lead a normal life. There are a number of factors that lead to this problem, it might be heritably transferred, or may be because of a wrong eating habits or might be because of insufficiency of correct physical workouts. There are some studies that show that if a child is born to obese parents he may likely to be obese as well, but however this is not a proven truth. There might be another option that a child who often consumes a lot of junk food and fast food, too much of ice-creams, candies or some other food that is harmful might become obese. Lack of appropriate physical activity might be other main reason that might cause child obesity. In fact, kids love to watch TV continuously without paying much attention on their day-to-day exercises and often while watching TV for long hours munch on wafers or pop-corns or any other oily and unhealthy food. ids are more interested to play games on computers, cell phones or video games which involves no physical routine, hence the child sits on one place without moving to enjoy the game and take pleasure in that but they neglect the fact that they are causing a great damage to their body and health. As the body is not physically active, the energy accumulated in body gets changed to fats, which further results in obesity. You should not blame technology or games for this, in fact the parents should accept the truth that it is their failure to make their kid do too much of exercises that is good for their health and keeps them fit. Junk food and fast food which have started a madness because of their mouth-watering tastes often tempt the kids to munch on these, these types of food are high in fats and very less in nutrients, hence this food does a lot of harm to our body rather than something better. The companies put forward their junk and fast food stuff through attractive advertisements and hence the child finds it difficult to resist and gets the habit of eating such type of unhealthy food. But then the parents need to be wise enough to mind their eating patterns by making them aware about the harmful effects of such type of food and thus restrict them to eat fast food. If a child is obese it does not mean that he only appears fat and heavy but there are grave other health troubles accompanied with obesity like: Difficulty in moving: This is a main problem that an obese child finds hard to move around, to play, to climb, to jump and to do various other physical exercises that a normal child can do without much trouble. Other serious health problems are that an obese child might develop life threatening diseases like Heart Attack, High Blood Pressure or even Cancer! Child obesity leads to adult obesity and they bear a lot of physical hardships all through their lives. Not just do they face physical hardship but they also face mental trauma as the family members or siblings or friends taunt and humiliate the child for looking plumpy and fat which might often lead to severity like child depression that further detoriates the condition. Whichever might be the reason for child obesity either harmful eating patterns or genetic factor, ultimately it is the duty of the parents to watch that their child does a good amount of physical exercise and consume a balanced diet.
